We are a group of Photographers, Videomakers, Postproducers, Architects, Graphic designers, Web designers, Marketing and Communications experts. Images and visual communication are the focus of our personal and work relationships.

Simplicity and complexity are our two key concepts. Simple for us means effective. Nonetheless, what’s  behind the simplicity of a shot, a video, a graphic design or a website is actually something very complex.

We listen to our customers’ needs to start developing ideas. We fill our “cauldron” of ideas, sketches and proposals and then we begin to take away elements. Subtraction is perhaps the most delicate operation, as it requires us to focus exclusively on the substance of things

About us

valeria vari
Valeria Vari - Creative Director

Since 2016 Valeria is Founder and responsible for Loomen Studio.

After studying at ISFCI she was an apprentice at Elisabetta Catalano’s. In 2012 she co-founded the creative studio AnotherStudio, where Valeria was primarily working on photography, advertising, portraits and still life.

Valeria worked on a number of projects:

  • D/R – Catalogazioni sistematiche, re-reading of the urban landscape with optical counter;
  • Déjavu, an exhibition inspired by Fontana curated by others from ProgettoABC and Fandango Encounters;
  • Sulla Soglia, collective show related to the Dancity Festival di Foligno;
  • Via degli Ausoni, project curated by Sguardo Contemporaneo for the FotoGrafia Festival di Roma.

She is among the winners of the first Creative Young Chevrolet prize.

In 2012, Valeria’s photo project titled “Angelina” was published on B & W Magazine.

Filippo Di Rosa - Art Director

Passionate cinephile and a free climber enthusiast, Filippo is a photographer, videomaker and art director. He moved his first steps as a specialized KTB projector to cover the role of head of the ISFCI room in Rome. Co-founder of the creative studio AnotherStudio, since 2012 Filippo is primarily involved in documentary projects and advertising campaigns.

His work has been displayed at the “FotoGrafia Festival Internazionale di Roma” and he has produced a documentary photographic reportage for the 8xMille of the Catholic Church under the supervision of Francesco Zizola.

In 2012 he won a Sony World Photography Award and the Young Creative Chevrolet’s first prize.

Marta Lelli
Marta Lelli

Roman. Architect. Marta was born in 1988 and spent her first ten years of life playing with Lego and watching “L’albero azzurro”. So, when she had to choose between studying maths or architecture she was guided in her choice by Empirio’s memory and the “scatolone fabbricone”.

She collaborated with several architecture studios and with National Research Centre (CNR), she’s a regional partner for Lazio’s Comitato Giovani  CNI UNESCO – Marta is also co-founder of Utopica, a platform to reflect on urban public space.

In 2016 she designed her first photography studio: Loomen!

Martina Pavia - Head of Postproduction

Amused by music and amateur tennis player, Martina is among the founding members of the AnotherStudio collective.

After studying at ISFCI in Rome, she specialized in postproduction, publishing editorials for major fashion magazines and advertising campaigns for sports and energy industries. Martina’s work has been published on national newspapers and corporate portals. Martina worked on several collective projects:

paola simonelli
Paola Simonelli - Head of Photography

Paola has always been attracted by visual arts.  She approached photography in 2000.

Since 2011, Paola realizes  portraits and advertising campaigns. She is also specialized in wedding photography, creating private photo shoots.

She has organised two ISFCI collective exhibitions (2014-2015) and the staging of “Theatres of War” by Marco Longari, “Egypt in transit” by Luca Sola and “Syria in conflict” by Alessio Romenzi.

Paola has organized several workshops and photography-related events in Rome.

Davide Delladio
Davide Delladio

Davide was born in 1996. He lives in Castelli Romani. He has been practising shooting sports while successfully completing Classical studies. At present, his interests mainly revolve around Social Sciences, Politics and Writing. He is studying Social Sciences at Sapienza University of Rome.

Davide works as a columnist for the ‘Information and Communication’ section at Loomen.

Edouard Arnold
Edouard Arnold

Edouard was born in Paris in 1983. After focusing on Sciences at school, he has worked in the show business both as Actor and Stage Assistant. In 2009 he moved from Paris to Rome to study Photography at ISFCI. Once completed his studies at the ISFCI, Edouard met 9 colleagues and together they founded AnotherStudio. He has worked for artists as Giampaolo Ursino and Santarella, Fashion Designer. Edouard worked on the collective projects:D/R – Catalogazioni Sistematiche; Déjavu(ProgettoABC & Fandango Incontro); Sulla Soglia, Via degli Ausoni (Sguardo Contemporaneo forFotoGrafia Festival di Roma); 35>35 ( Spazio Cerere and Macro Testaccio). Edouard is amongst the winners of the  Young Creative Chevrolet Prize.

Edouard is often travelling between Italy, Switzerland and France. At Loomen he focuses on working relationships with French businesses and single professionals.

Umberto Preite Martinez
Umberto Preite Martinez

Umberto Preite Martinez was born in Strasburg in 1992. Umberto lives in Frascati, Castelli Romani. He is currently studying Communication at Tor Vergata University. Umberto is a columnist for L’Ultimo Uomo and In Italia News. He is extremely passionate about cycling and never misses a bycicle racing. Since 2016 he also collaborates with Associazione Culturale Legamente.

Umberto works as a columnist for the “An unconventional history of photography” section for Loomen blog.

Anna Ricca - Photographer

Born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, she has always been very interested in Photography and Communications, two passions combined together in order to express her point of view. After graduating in Art in Geneva she got the degree in Photography by ISFCI in Rome, where afterwards she attended and completed the Master in Fashion Photography.

Matteo Pantalone - Photographer

Matteo Pantalone was born in Abruzzo (ITALY) in 1990. Son of a strong musical tradition, he approached the study of Music since childhood, a passion that led him to graduate in Clarinet in 2010. Also, in the wake of his father’s passion for taking pictures just for his family, he gets close to Photography as new and powerful means of communication. He then decides to devote himself fully to photographic art, graduating in 2015 at ISFCI (Higher Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication) in Rome, after a three-year course in which he studied different photographic fronts such as Portrait, Reportage, Fashion, Still Life, Contemporary and Post-production.

He is currently enrolled in the course for stage photographers by Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
